It appears that this David German may be the one found in the 1900 census for Attica Twp, Lapeer, MI, family 163. The information given in the census fits fairly well. He was born in Canada and had parents born in PA and NY. The census record says that he emigrated from Canada in 1865. His age in 1900 was 65 [born Dec 1834], so, if this is he, the obit must date from 1907.
