Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday for John Daniel German, 88, of Burney, who died Sunday at Mayers Memorial Hospital.
German was born Dec. 20, 1883 in Mansfield, Mo. He was a farmer and had lived in Shasta County for three years. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Chico and Grace Community Church in Burney.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Belinda; four sons, Wayne of Burney, Marshall of Anderson, Harvey of Carlton, Ore., and Howard of Chico; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Uhl and Mrs. Doris Donaldson, both of Burney, and Mrs. Dorothy Cardinale of Spokane, Wash.;
a brother, Jack of Chico; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at McDonald's Burney Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Ensley officiating. Interment will be in the Chico Cemetery
