Oops! Ok, I forgot. Mary was a GRANDchild of John and Rachel. I do remember David being her father now.

In his later years, John Jr. remarried to Luranna Johnson Myers. She had been married to (Isaiah)Stewart Myers and had her children by him. She was a sister to my great-grandmother, Rachel. After John Jr. died, Luranna went to Nebraska to be with family out there. She is buried in the same cemetery as Mary Gerking Terrell and the two children, in Tekamah.

You are right; John and Carrie's children were ESTELLA,GEORGE,ELMER,ENOCH,and WALTER ULMONT TERRELL.

Estella was born in 1886 and died in 1968. I remember seeing her once or twice. She married Sammy Simmerman; they had three children. Ella,Alta,and Rex. Ella married my dad's brother, so she was my aunt by marriage, as well as being my second cousin. She was older than my mother, but HER mother was my mother's first cousin. Rex had one daughter, Brenda Kay, and she was my age. They all lived close to Williams, Indiana.

George was born in 1899 and died in 1966. Someone is still living in his house in Martin Co., Mitcheltree township. We go by it every time we are down that way. You named all of his children correctly. I have a picture of George and his wife when they were quite young; can't think of her name, though.

Elmer was born in 1891 and died in 1969_____he didn't have any children.

Enoch was born in 1893 and died in 1942 of stomach cancer. He married Nellie Fields, daughter of James Archibald Fields and his wife, Phoebe Fisher. Nellie was a 'double' cousin to my dad. They had one son, Leland Terrell. He had two children, Gary and Vicky.

You had the information correct on Walter. His son John Logan Terrell died just recently. They both were very interested in genealogy.

John Terrell and Carrie Chapman also had a baby daughter, born 1901, who died soon after birth.

After John died, several years later, Carrie married John Washington Fields, an uncle of my dad. So, Carrie was married to two of my great-uncles, one on each side of my family.

My maternal grandparents, Levi Washington Terrell and Mary Jane Barnes, were married in July of 1893. Here is a list of their children;

LESTER WATSON TERRELL____b. 1894, married Mae Cameron. They lived most of their lives on top of a hill on 450, the road to Williams. He was a farmer. Their children;

Mary Maxine Terrell
Robert Wayne Terrell
Rose Ann Terrell

SARAH 'ALICE' TERRELL_____b. 1896, married Raymond Bowden. They had one daughter, Mary Jane. They lived in Martinsville, Indiana.

MARY 'INEZ' TERRELL _____b. 1900. She married Victor Leamon. They had one daughter, Alma Jane. They lived in Indianapolis.

HUBERT HENRY TERRELL _____b. 1904. He married Ava Short. They lived in Williams all of their lives, not far from the church. Their house had been the home of Ava's grandparent's, Hollis and Susan Williams Chase. They had two sons;

Norman Terrell
Gene Terrell

HOMER HOLLIS TERRELL _____b. Feb. 22, 1907. He married Pauline Williams. Her grandfather, Tilghman Williams, is the one that had the Williams covered bridge built when he was County Commissioner. They moved to Martinsville where Homer was a teacher; he later became assistant superintendant of schools in that district.

They had one son, Dee Williams Terrell.

EMILY 'LOUISE' TERRELL_____born Dec. 2, 1910. She married William E. Fields, and they moved to South Bend, Indiana, after getting married in Williams, Indiana. She was partially named after Emily Gerking, the youngest daughter of Sam and Phylura Harding Gerking.

Louise and William had one daughter, Penny Lou. (me)

I can give you even more details on the above people if you want.
