I believe this is the information you're looking for:
From The History of Baxter County (Arkansas), 1940 edition
[I've added a few personal notes in square brackets - a few names on marriage records are slightly different than listed here]
Burton and Sarah Martin Girkin, natives of Jefferson County, Kentucky, came to this county from Illinois in 1877, and settled on the W. B. Jordan farm six miles northwest of Mountain Home.Mr. Girkin died in March, 1879, and Mrs. Girkin moved to a homestead on Bruce Creek. In 1894, the family moved to a place they bought from the Suggs heirs on Trimble Flat, where Mrs. Girkin died February 15, 1901.The family was Methodist and Mr. Girkin was a Mason.Their children were: Nare [Nannie] (Mrs. W. S. Perryman); J. H. [Joe], who was assessor of the county at one time, and who married Miss Edna Pierce of Marion County; Mattie (Mrs. W. W. King); Mary [Mollie](Mrs W. F. McNeill); Charlie [CC or Charles Clinton], who married Jennie Kazar [Kizzia] of Izard County, and made their home in Oklahoma.
I am Charlie and Jennies' Great Grandson.I am also interested on any information you might have on Joseph Gerkin and Lurica Farmer. Thanks!
