Yes I am very aware of the common spellings of Gerhardt!!,
surnames also includes Gearheart, Gearhart, Gayheart, Gayhart in America.
My last name is Gayheart.
It is not a lunatic idea!!, two families migrated
from Wythe Co.VA to Floyd Co.Ky, two of their descendants
did DNA testing, we now know after many years of speculation
that they are not related!!
This post was made for those who are interested in comparing
DNA and discovering new Gerhardt relatives.
Not for those who don't!!
You have a right for your opinion, but I don't think
you know much about DNA testing.
