MENNONITE GUERBERS OF LORRAINE

Would like to meet someone who has a genealogy or interest in the Mennonite Guerber family of Lorraine. I am related to the Stecker family that lived on Belgrade Farm in Bistroff and at Bening Commune in Harprich 1790-1830. They lived with the Guerbers, and in at least one instance during the Napoleonic Wars one of them took on the name Guerber. The only connection I can find between the two families is a marriage connection through Farny.
Would like to know what happened to these Guerbers -- e.g., are they the same as the Gerbers who ended up in Illinois with Amish Mennonite settlers?
Have much information to share, including photocopies of some Guerber birth and death records in the period 1795-1820.
