Hello Vince, and all others interested in the greatness of the Geraci's :)
It was really a pleasure to log on and see a reply, and I am honored to have told the story. Many many great memories of the oldest of the family that I knew (my late grandfather, Col. Francis Reginald Geraci, USMC, Ret.), and while I did say that I would share the existence of this site and the activity with my mom (the only Geraci daughter of that part of the family), I haven't yet. I need to find a way to archive the messages and print a running account for her. I also just told a friend and coworker that out of all of Europe, Geraci, Sicily is the one place that I would like to visit. I enjoyed the pictures of a trip of oneof the members of this forum....let's say they were inspirational :)
Best wishes to all of you, and that more info of interest happens our way. I want to conclude with something that may seem a bit abstract in concept, but I have often wondered if lineage and origin result in any typicalities in characteristics among those with same surnames from same geographic origin- in other words, is there something about tradition and heritage that may have infleunced commonality of interest, principles, etc? I know that in this particular Geraci family, all the men are interested in technology, tinkering with electronics, and sensory stimulation gadgetry in general. The women have all been nurses. Just a thought :)
Rich
