Geraci in Brazil

Hi all,

I am trying to find my ancestor's city (comuna) of origin in Sicily. My great-great-grandfather was Francesco Geraci and he arrived in Brazil in the early 1890s.

His parents were ANTONIO GERACI and CATHARINA CUCIMANO, and AFAIK Mrs. Cucimano was born in Cattania.

As the years passed our last name spelling changed from Geraci to Gerassi.

If anyone have any information that could help in locating Mr. Francesco's place of birth.. I will be very thankful.
