Hi Charlene
As far as I have been told my Henry & family came to NY from Germany abt 1874 or 1876 according to census information. From Ny they travelled to Canada. There could be Geppert's in PA that were related but i do not know of any.
If you want to see the 1881 Census from family search on line you have to look for Henry Gappet(t) in Ontario, Essex Co Sandwich E Tp. There name was spelled wrong on census & in directories of Essex Co Ont.
