This is not from the Book but from prior research done visiting familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/p/h/i/Opal-P=Phillips-MI/Website-0001/UHP from 2/10/04. My family are the Arkansas Cearleys, my Grandpa being Clement Walter Cearley
, his brother being James,Solomon,Henry w/sisters Minnie,Clara
. Their father also Clement Walter Cearley w/brothers &sisters
Martha,Nancy,Harriet,Louisa Matilda Hulda,&Ellen. Their father Soloman born in Wilks CO,NC but died in Garland CO,AR where Grandpa is buried. Soloman came from an enormous family of 15 children all in North Carolina, but both Soloman and Clement came to Garland CO, AR seeking expansion, and George went to Union CO, Georgia.The others names were Nancy,Ruth, Edmond ,Elizabeth,Hiram,Sarah,Anna,Rachel,Charles,Chloe,James &Henry. Now Soloman,Clement,and George's father's name was Larkin. This is what you may find interesting:His siblings names were Elijah,Absolom,Clemond,Sarah,Elizabeth,&Cloe. Their father and grandfather's names were both William Carley, but Great-grandpa was Bartholomew Carley and he had a son named Richard Carley 1716-1805 with siblings William, Mary,Abraham,Job,James,and Sarah. I know the dates are wrong, but lots of times, brothers will name their children after their brothers, uncles, fathers, or grandparents. So with my clan moving westward to AR around 1850's, it makes sense the same may have happened with yours in Indiana. I also had Egglestons in Indiana Decatur Co but they also moved to AR around 1909. Hope this at least give you a web site to look at and something to think about further.
