I recently visited Brewton, Laurens Co., GA, and was told by my cousin that a son of my great-grandfather, James E Jackson, had a son, named James Allen Jackson (DOB 05/26/1864, DOD 12/12/1905) left the area and settled near Griffin. I'm not sure if this is any help to you, but thought I'd share it with you just in case. I would love to know any history you might have. I visited the cemetery where my great-grandfather and -mother were buried and know that Felter Jackson (my paternal grandfater) left the Dublin area while my father was in the Navy, some time around 1944.
