The following census record was found on John C. and Jane (MERCER) Sutton, and I am interested in communicating with anyone who has further information on the children and their line/s:
!CENSUS: 1850 U. S. Federal; District 24, Dooly, Georgia; Roll M432_68, Page 241, Image 31; enumerated 29 August 1850, dwelling & family 199;
John C. Sutten (sic.) Sutton is correct spelling, age 27, Male, Real estate value $1,200, born in Georgia;
Jane Sutton, age 30, Female, born in North Carolina (all others enumerated born in Georgia);
(1) Sarah Sutton, 2, female;
(2) Lazarah T. Sutton, 1, male;
William Bottoms or Bottems, 22, marle, Laborer.
Despite the age discrepancy between his age in this census of 27 and the date of birth of 1813 (which is not that well documented), this does appear to be the brother of Andrew J. Sutton and son of Zachariah Z. and Frusanna (ASKEW) Sutton. Also, living nearby is brother of John C., Andrew J. and Sarah (Ross) Sutton and their family.
