Florence Porter is another one of my brick walls, she was my great grand mother. The information I have about her comes form her death certificate.
There is no date or palce of birth, it states that her mother was Mary Jane Porter unfortunately, there is no fathers name.
She was married to Ferdinand Burrell and resided on 116 Hanks Street in Rome and they had 7 children I believe all were born at home. Florence died on November 11, 1943 at 5:45a.m. at home the informant was her daughter Addie Burrell Ganaway. Doziers Funeral Home took of her arrangements, I do know that Doziers no longer exists. I do know Florence is buried at West Rome/Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery located on Lavender Lane.
I would love to hear from any descendants of Florence and Mary Jane Porter, I would be happy to share any information and the one picture I have of Florence and various other family members.
