It has been said that Sarah George, wife of Edward DOUGLASS of Sumner Co., TN, was the daughter of John George b. 1704, Middlesex Co., VA, son of Robert and Sarah George, married 1724 Mary Jordan. Sarah married Edward Douglass about 1740. According to her tombstone and her son James, Sarah George DOUGLASS was born in 1711, therefore, she cannot possibly be the daughter of John George b. 1704. A family sketch by her son James Douglass states that she was definitely a George, so who were her parents?
