I am looking for any information on my great-grandfather. His name was John C. George. His first wifes name (my great-grandmother) was "Marie." I don't know his date of birth, my guess would be late 1870's or 1880's. Together they had twin daughters Mazie and Mary. Marie died in childbirth Feb of 1917. I was told he lived in Ky for a time (not sure how long) he is however buried in California. I was told he (or Marie, both) were portugese. I don't know if he had siblings, I don't know his mother or father's names. The story I was told by my now deceased aunt (grandmas daughter, dad's sister) that my grandma was disowned by her father for marrying my grandfather. I know very little about my family and do not wish this to continue on. I want my kids to know where they come from and I further suspect I have relatives out there somewhere whom I would love to meet. Thank you. I realize I have very little information but I am hoping someone recognizes the name somehow.
