George Family Genealogy Forum
I'm thinking of publishing my own book and calling it "In the Real Footsteps of Jesse George." Seriously, I'm sorry to see so many people relying on the information in this book. It is simply bad genealogy. It contains way too much guess work and speculation without reasonable verification. In fact, the woman who wrote it seemed to think Solomon Wolfe was a woman! I live near Cherokee Co., Texas and I looked it up (which is more than she did). Solomon Wolfe was definitely a man.
She also relied on a Bible dated from the 1840s to verify ancestors whom were NOT listed in the Bible. My advice: tread carefully using this book and verify your own information. Never depend on someone else's genealogical research unless you can reasonably verify the information.
