Actually I'm not the one who is "wrong about john's wife". The late Keith H. George is apparently the one.
The line you're working on is the "James George of Amesbury, MA" line as it is called in Keith H. George's book. The line is as follows up to your John George(1810-1897):
James George born England about 1632; died MA 1707
Francis George born MA about 1675; died MA 1735
James George born MA Apr 27, 1701; died MA Apr 1781
James George born MA Mar 12, 1732/3; died about 1803
James George born NH Jan 6 1768; died about 1831
My line is the "John George of Haverhill, MA" line. There is a John George, grandson of the emigrant, and my 6th great-granduncle who was married to a Susanna Dow on January 28, 1751. The James and the John lines have not been proven to be related, but I imagine that someone in your line could also have married a Susannah Dow.
