Peggy,David George is the only one of three male Georges in Greene County, IN. on the 1840 census who has a male living in his home who is of the same age as John E. would have been in that year. By 1840, William George had only daughters, and the children and some grandchildren of John are well documented.
Also, David married Ann Eliza Edmonston in 1822 in Blount Co., TN.John E. may be a child of an earlier marriage as David was 25 at the time of his marriage to Ann E., she was just 18.David's first children were born in TN. at a time when William was in KY., and John was probably in KY.
Whether John E. was David's son or not, he is certainly a part of this family. He later lived in Martin County, as did others of this family, including David.Later moving into Lawrence Co., where some of David's other children had moved.
The George DNA testing shows that a descendant of John E. and my John George are exact matches, meaning they are definately related.
I can send you more info, but it may be better if you email me offline. My info is available through this site.
