A biography and portrait of Wade H. George are included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 800 & 801.
Wade was born, 29 Jun 1877, Arcola, Louisiana, and at age four was taken to Denver, Colorado, by his parents. He was raised and educated in Denver. At age 17, he was employed by Farmer and Hale, funeral directors at Denver, and there he began learing the undertaking business. He took an undertaking course in Chicago and passed the Colorado State Board of Embalmers. In 1900 he accepted the managership of Hermann & Company, funeral directors of Helena, MT, and he remained there for two years. He moved to Great Falls, MT, and bought out the George Berthold funeral establishment.
On 28 Jul 1903, Helena, MT, Wade married Miss Susan K. Kline, a native of Bloomington, IL.
Wade H. George died 2 Nov 1955, age 79, Yellowstone Co., MT
Susan K. George died 20 Oct 1965, age 92, Cascade Co., MT
