Seeking information on a George family from France who lived in this area. Does anyone know if there was a Marie-Anne and/or Marguerite George? Marie-Anne may have been born abt 1800. Have no info on Marguerite until she marries my ggg gf, Alexandre Girardin, abt 1840 in St. Clair County, IL. The Girardin family was from Brebotte, which is near the home of the George's in France. Marie-Anne was the godmother for the only child of Alex and Marguerite.
