The Melinda George on the 1850 census was really Belinda who married Joseph Boyette. He died in The War and she inherited land from Amos in 1888. I have a copy of the division of the property. The Narcissus who was 10 on the 1850 census was married to William J. Jernigan in 1855. Their son was James Calvin Jernigan who married Nancy Brunson. I don't know what happened the Narcissus and Wm. J. Jernigan but James Calvin Jernigan was with the Amos George family in 1860. I believe but have not been able to prove it yet that Amos George had brothers, Furnifold, James, and a sister, Caroline.

Belinda Boyette inherited land near James Calvin Jernigan. Issac Brunson posted bond for Jasper George to settle the etate of his father Furnifold. What happed to all these George family members? Amos and Narcissus were my 3rd great grandparents.
