This is a repost, original posting has, as yet, received no replies !!!!
Am looking for any information on my Great-Grandmother who
was, reputedly, born in London Mar. 2, 1854 and who died at
Latrobe Tasmania on Aug. 13, 1954. Am having a problem with
her arrival in Australia, reputedly Rockhampton Qld, and her
actual married name. Supposed to have come to Australia
married to Walter William Brown, but for some reason or other he might have been William Walters or William Walter Drew, this latter if I am to believe my Gandmother's Birth Certificate who is shown as being born as Drew but who married as a Brown.
So, best to stick to my Great-Grandmothers line for the time being which I know for sure to have been George.
Her birth date is shown on her Death Certificate but there
was uncertainty about her birth place. My Great-Grandfathers
Death Certificate wasn't of much help, even the period of
residency in Australia did not tally although that could be
a fault of the informant at my Great-Grandmothers decease.
I hope someone out there in the George realm might be able
to throw some light on these mysterious ancestors.. !!!!
Any Taswegian's from around Ulverstone into genealogy ???
