John George grave 1791 Spartanburg Co SC

Hello. I am researching families in the area of Lawson's Fork and Pacolet River in Spartanburg County SC. I ran across a land plat surveyed the 12th of November 1791 for William Poole that is on the south side of the Pacolet River and contains 1/2 of the area then known as the Healing Springs... the other half being owned by my ancestor Henry Pettit. On part of this plat, on land shown to be owned by "Rutledge and Hindman" there is a small cemetery and the words "Jno George's grave." I have been unable to locate any information on a John George in the area. Anyone familiar with him? He was in the ground prior to Nov 12th 1791.
