In my george family data base I have a John R. B. George b. 1854, LA, married to Margaret W. Stocks on November 15, 1874. His father is William F. George b. 1829 GA and married to Sara Jane Tanner. William F. George's father is Caleb George b. ca 1798 in SC and married to Mary Parker. Caleb's father is, we believe, Jesse George and his mother was Margaret W. ? They came from SC. Your Louisiana William F. shows up in some deed records when Caleb deeds some land to his older kids. I have always been interested in this family (most of them in Henry, GA) because Caleb has a son Aaron Russell George. My great great Grandfather was named Russell George and was in Benton (now Calhoun Co, AL) in the 1850s before dying in the civil war, but have been unable to make a connection. See Alabama George Family Puzzles in this forum for my interests and eighteen George families I try to connect to. Email me an address and I will mail you some group sheet.
W. Peyton George
