Hi again Sharon, James was in Illinois with Sarah and the tw girls, in 1850, Do you have the name of your James mother and father? What really makes me question the possiblity is the name Bowen. You see there are also Bowens in my family list from the line of Sarah when she married Alexnder Martin. A lot of this information can be found in Vermilion County Illinos court papers of marriages and at the Genealogy Sociaty records in Danville, Illinois. Also I found an article that stated that Jane and Sarah'father John Wilcox left the smaller girls with the older children she had by John Davis and went to Arkansas, Benton County. When they left it was the time of removal of the Indians and that is one of the routes. Getting interested?
