Below is the obituary of Jean L. (McNamee) George.

CHAMBERSBURG - Jean L.
(McNamee) George, 71, of 123 S.
Fourth St., Chambersburg, died
Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born June 23, 1930, in Hagerstown, Md., she was a daughter of the late John Calvin and Wavie Lee (Youngblood)
McNamee.

Mrs. George
was a member of
St. Paul United
Methodist Church
of Chambersburg.

She had served as a housekeeper for Mrs. H.C. Gabler of Cham-bersburg for 28 years.

She is survived by her husband, Clayton Stewart George, whom she married Jan. 7, 1950; a daughter, Deborah Jean (Mrs. Kenneth) Poper of Chambersburg; a son, Larry Wayne (husband of Linda) of New-burg; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Eugene) Clark of Pur-cellville, Va., and Gloria (Mrs. Robert) Slate of Hagerstown, Md.

Four sisters, Phyllis Martin, Doris Blair, Donna Repp and Emilie McNamee; two brothers, John Calvin McNamee and James William McNamee; and a half brother, Roy McNamee, preceded her in death.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in
Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home
Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., with the
Rev. Dr. Robert Cook officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memo-rial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, the door of the funeral home will be open from 2 to 9 p.m.
