I have his name as James Francis George born 23 October 1836 and died 22 November 1864. He is buried at Eelbeck Cemetery in Chattahoochee County Georgia. Also buried in the Cemetery is James Francis Jr. 26 February 1863- 02 July 1864. Apparently James F couldn't get enough of that nasty war of the 1860s. Here is the blurb I have on his service record. -1st Lieutenant May 18, 1861. Resigned at
Williamsburg, Va. August 22, 1861. Enlisted as a private in Co.G, 31st Regiment Ga. Inf. November 10, 1861. Appointed QuartermasterSergeant in 1862. Discharged, disability, March 31,1862. ElectedColonel of -Regiment Ga. Militia May 13,1862. Killed at Griswoldville, Ga. November 22,1864.
Hope this helps.
