Hello again! It has been a year since I made the post you found, and in the meantime I located a source for copying the George-Lacy genealogy (LDS has microfilm of all of Uncle Austin's books, and I copied the microfilm.) I thank you kindly for your offer, however. The connection to the Fugitt's is tenuous, but as Uncle Austin followed all the "allied families," I have attempted to learn as much about each of them as I could as well. Cleopatra "Patty" Fugitt, daughter of Benjamin Fugitt, Jr., and Catherine Gowan White, married Robert E. Smith. His grandmother was Dorothy Mitchell (married Nathaniel Finley), who was a sister of my great-great grandfather Daniel West Mitchell. I am very interested in contacting Mr. Fisher, as I have been curious as to what happened to Uncle Austin's research. I contacted his son about six months ago and learned that none of that part of the family seems interested in pursuing genealogy. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed. May I ask what your connection to George-Lacy and Mitchell-McGlocklin is? I have found very few people following up on research with these four families. I have extensive files that I have transcribed from Uncle Austin's books and added to on my own through research into censuses, etc. My brother was in contact with Uncle Austin's wife Altie several years ago and obtained much of our great-grandfather's Civil War information from her. If you still need my address, let me know and I'll be happy to send it. Betty (Smith) Beard
