I have George's that went to TX from KY. The father was Alfred George b. 1789 in KY/VA, and died 1834 in Bourbon Co., KY. Inventory of Alfred George filed 1848 June 26 lists his children in Gurardian Book E, page 40 Bourbon County, KY.
I suggest you research the sons to find your Alfred, b. 1845 as I do not have any further info on these other than what I list here: Theophilus Clay George; James D. George, born Abt. 1821 in KY. He married Harriet F. Irons 07 Mar 1854 in Bourbon Co., KY; William Harrison George, born 26 Jan 1829 in Warren Co., KY; died 05 Jul 1919 in Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto Co., TX. He married Mary Norvell 10 Jan 1859 in ?Bourbon Co., KY; Alfred Aquilla George, born 15 Feb 1834 in KY,died 06 Sep 1875. These sons may have a son named Alfred, I do not know, but you may want to research them to find your Alfred.

I descend through the son: John Chowning George, born 20 Sep 1830 in KY; died 22 Feb 1917 in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., TX so I have more information on his family. He had a son named William Alfred born 26 Jan 1872.
