There is a new project to coordinate DNA testing to help connect (or disconnect) the various GEORGE lines. Family Tree DNA, a prominent research firm in the field, will conduct the actual testing, but the project itself is run by and for GEORGE family researchers. Details can be found at:

There are a growing number of family DNA projects which have published very exciting reports on family connections discovered through DNA testing. The GEORGE Surname Reconstruction Project web site proviedes references to these sites.
