Hi Donna,

Do you have any idea where your George ancestors were before they came to Arkansas? I'm looking for some George descendants who lived in Arkansas, and as far as I know stayed there. I have no idea where in Arkansas though.

My 2nd Great granduncle, William Riley George and his wife Elizabeth Adams moved to somewhere in Arkansas in the 1870s. They were back in Texas by 1900, and some of their children were with them, but I'm assuming that the older children must have stayed in Arkansas.

His brother, John Carey George, also had some children who moved to Arkansas according to a descendant of his daughter, Mary Alice George.

I have no idea what the children in Arkansas' names were, or even where they lived in Arkansas.

Family names that were used repeatedly in this family were: Jesse, Carey, Riley, David, Caleb, Mahala, Matilda, Lauranna (or possibly Laurania).

This probably isn't much help, but who knows?
