From land records:

Jehu George, of White County, Illinois, purchased land in the southwest quarter of section twenty in township five south of range nine east in the year 1838.

My George family...

My line comes from John George born 1783 in Ireland and came to South Carolina as a boy. I only know of three of his children: William born 1810, Francis born 1812, and Margaret born 1815. John moved the family to Kentucky in 1816 and then in 1824 moved on to Gallatin County, Illinois and later White County, Illinois. William, Francis, Jehu and John all purchased land in White County in 1838. It looks like Jehu and John might be other children of John George and I was looking for some verification.
