Hi Leta. Your George names rang a bell with me, as well as the location,Thorpe,MO. Ira Buckner& Francis George are names I remember from my childhood. Do you have a time frame on these people? My gg-grandfather was Jimmy George, who came to MO from TN prior to the Civil War. His homestead was NE of Charity, MO, just a few miles from Thorpe. G-grandfather, Ephriam & grandfather, Wm Winfield George are buried at Thorpe cemetery, along with their wives.
