My grandfather was James Madison George, b. 1870 in Camden County, MO. He was married to Mary Ann? and had several children including sons Willie and Mattie. They were divorced and he married my grandmother, Clara Viola Hamilton. They moved to Oklahoma where my mother was born in 1920, but soon moved back to Arkansas. He died Jan. 01, 1926 in Randolph County, AR and is buried in Pocahontas, AR.

My mother remembers Willie and Mattie visiting with her family when she was very young. She says Mattie's wife was named Hazel, and Willie had a son named Everett. She has often wondered what happened to them.

She says my ggrandfather's name was Joseph Forbus George.

I think there are too many identical names to be coincidental--we must be related!

I will be glad to share what I have. I do have some information about our George ancestors, mostly gleaned from Internet sources. Maybe you can shed more light on my mother's half-brothers families!
