This could be coincidental (or not) but might
be something to consider for George families in SC. From the book "Abbeville District (SC) Wills and Bonds" by P. Young, an abstract for a Will on file at the Abbeville County, SC courthouse probate records, in Box 39, Pack 835 - - David George - - Estate administered Nov 14, 1782 and dated at Fort Boone by Rebecca George, William George, Jas. Hogans, David Hutson bound to Jno. Ewing Calhoun Ord. 96 Dist., sum 14,000 pounds. Rebecca George was of Tagger River.

There is a Robert George mentioned in the Will of John Hall in Abbeville Co, SC, in probate box 45, Pack 1012:
John Hall - - Estate administered Nov 6, 1797 by Sarah Hall, widow. Thos., Francis Hodge, Wm. Dunlap bound to Judges of Abbeville County the sum of $3000. Was a merchant. Inventory made Dec 29, 1797 by Dunken Campbell, Thos. Pringle, Francis Hodge. Buyers: Robt. George, Michael Cain, Wm. Holmes, etc.

There is also a transcribed Will for a George Forman in Abbeville County, SC, probate records (at Abbeville courthouse) in Box 107, Pack 2810:

George Forman - - Will dated May 20, 1786 in Edgefield Dist., SC - - Executors: Son, Isaac Forman, Daughter: Mary Forman. Witness: Jonathan Gouldsbrough, Benjamin Harvy, Athanathan (?) Thomas. Wife: Charity Forman. Children: Jacob Forman to his heirs lands in Crackers Neck on Savannah River, Geo. deceased. Mary, Sarah, Martha, Judah, Nancy, Isaac, Verly, Olive, Gilpah Forman. Inventory made in Edgefield County on Jan 13, 1787 by Benjamin Ryan Jr., Nathaniel White, Gasper Gallman.

In nearby Anderson Co., SC there are a number
of George families mentioned in the old estate records including a Jesse George and Thomas George, James George, Richard George,
Samuel George, John George, William George, Ezekiel George and others from ca 1806 to 1830's.

I am curious about the Dunlap family of Abbeville Co., SC possible connections to the
George families of SC, and if the George and Dunlap families of Heard County, GA were connected to those in Abbeville, SC and Anderson Co., SC area.
