From the book "Old Records of Estates and
Administrations, Benton (Calhoun) County, Alabama" (compiled by C.C. Mann, publ. by NE Alabama Genealogical Society) the following
provides info on the siblings of Benjamin C. George from estate distributions from 1858 through 1860, all pertaining to the estate of Benjamin C. George, deceased:

" March 1, 1858 - - Lincoln Co., Tennessee - - Thomas S. George appointed Guardian of Mary, Martha, Julia, William, Esther and James F. Howard, minor oprhans, with Samuel Stiles and William Copeland. Bond for $6,000.

March 8, 1858 - - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. Thomas S. George appointed guardian of Newton J., Thomas B. and David D. George, minor children of said Thomas S. George, with Woodroof Parks and George F. Hunter. Bond for $1500.

Feb 2, 1859 - - Statement for partial settlement. legatees and distributees listed as:
D.A. George, over 21
Mary Ann Copeland, late Mary Ann George and now the wife of William Copeland; Margaret V. Pearce, late Margaret V. George, and now the wife of N.B. Pearce, over 21
Newton J. George, under 21
Thomas B. George, under 21
David D. George, under 21
and the children of Hester H. Howard, deceased, who was a sister of Testator. The
children are minors and the names are:
Mary, Martha, Julia Ann, Hester, William S., James F. Howard. All of the above named legatees reside in Lincoln Co., Tennessee.

Feb 10, 1859 - - Statement by M.P. Henderson regarding purchase and delivery of a barrel of whiskey ($30.) of B.C. George. B.C. George was taken sick and was confined to the bed at the house known as the Tennessee Exchange. Still sick and growing worse, George was removed to Caldwell Sublett's house where he (George) remained until he died.

Feb. 28, 1859 - - Statement by John H. Wright that $142. was paid to D.A. George and D.A. George paid the same to W.M. Newman who claimed he was a partner in the Grocery of B.C. George, deceased - - that said sum was paid on a compromise for the interest Newman had as a partner in the Grocery.

Juen 25, 1859 - - Lincoln Co., Tennessee - - Power of Attorney to William Copeland by Thomas S. George. Signed and acknowledged by Thomas S. George before J.V. McKinney, Lincoln Co., Tennessee. States that B.C. George, late of Benton County, Alabama, died leaving a Will by which he directed a portion of his estate be given to the children of his sister Hester Howard (wife of Benjamin Howard) and to his sister Mary Ann, now wife of William Copeland, and to his sister Margaret B., now wife of N.B. Pearce, and to his brothers Newton J. George, Thomas B. George, and David D. George. Thomas S. George is the Guardian of Mary Howard, Martha Howard, Julia Howard, William S. Howard, Hester Howard and James F. Howard, children of Benjamin Howard and his wife Hester Howard; and of Newton J. George, Thomas B. George and David D. George and Mary Ann Copeland and N.B. Pearce and Margaret B. Pearce; who appoint William Copeland as their attorney.

July 22, 1859 - - Lincoln Co., Tennessee - - Power of attorney from N.B. Pearce and Margaret V. Pearce (formerly Margaret V. George) to William Copeland in the matter of the estate of B.C. George, deceased, who died in Calhoun County, Alabama.

Aug 13, 1859 - - Receipt of Margaret V. Pearce and N.B. Pearce by William Copeland, attorney, for $125. to John H. Wright in partial settlement of the estate of B.C. George, deceased.

Aug 13, 1859 - - Receipt of Thomas S. George (by William Copeland, attorney) as guardian of Newton J. George, Thomas B. George and David D. George, to John H. Wright for $125. each in partial settlement of the estate of B.C. George, deceased.

Aug 13, 1859 - - Receipt of Thomas S. George by William Copeland, attorney, as guardian of Mary Howard, Martha Howard and Julia Howard, William Howard, Esther Howard and James F. Howard for $5. each to John H. Wright as a partial settlement in the estate of B.C. George, deceased.

Aug 13, 1859 -- Receipt of Mary Ann Copeland, by her husband William Copeland, for $125. to John H. Wright in partial settlement of the estate of B.C. George, deceased.

Aug 20, 1860 - - Statement for final settlement by John H. Wright. Legatees entitled to distribution listed as:
1. D.A. George, over 21
2. Mary Ann Copeland, late Mary Ann George, now the wife of William Copeland, over 21
3. Margaret V. Pearce, late Margaret V. George, now the wife of N.B. Pearce, over 21
4. Newton J. George, over 21
5. Thomas B. George, under 21
6. David D. George, under 21
All of whom reside in Lincoln Co., Tennessee

Sept 24, 1860 - - Receipt of D.A. George for
$74.36

Oct 1, 1860 - - Lincoln Co., Tennessee - - William Copeland appointed guardian of Thomas B. and D.D. George, minor heirs of Thomas S. George, deceased, with Moses Cruse and Daniel P. Holman. Bond for $1000.

Oct 9, 1860 - - Power of Attorney to William Copeland and N.B. Pearce and Margaret V. Pearce, his wife, formerly Margaret V. George, and N.J. George. Sworn to before John V. McKinney, Notary Public, Lincoln Co., Tennessee

Oct 20, 1860 - - Receipt of William Copeland for $74.36 in favor of his wife, Mary Ann Copeland, sister of B.C. George, deceased, to John H. Wright, Executor.
Same in favor of Newton J. George, brother of B.C. George, deceased, for $74.36 by William Copeland, attorney for N.J. George.
Same for Thomas B. and David D. George, minors and brothers of said decedent B.C. George, for $74.36 each and Margaret V. Pearce, wife of N.B. Pearce, who is a sister of said decedent, for $74.36. "
