Hi Cheryl,
I would be interested in contact with
John Ozment....Your info is also interesting
.....According to the 1810 Orangeburg
Census, Jesse George had five daughters
born between the years 1797-1807/8 whose
names are unknown (at least to me). Since
Jesse doesn't show up on the 1820 Cesus (or
after), He probably moved or died between
1810-1820, however,I am unaware of any will
or property transfers...there should be records aplenty due to the large amount of land Jesse is known to have received in the form of several grants for his service in the Revolutionary War which are a matter of record. Jesse's youngest daughter is about
the right age to be the wife of Solomon Wolfe that you mention and might explain the
apparent association of Solomon and John Cary's oldest son on the 1847 Angelina Co.,
TX Tax List;however,if she was known to be from the Virginia line of Georges this theory
breaks down since I have been unable to find
any links with Jesse who was most likely
of Swiss/German origin. More research is
certainly needed....Thanks for your reply,
Dan George
