Hi Dorothy, I am still trying to sort out all these George's. What has happen, is that census, where well kept in KY,especially women maiden names. It seems like nobody wants to claim the George's from Floyd, Johnson, Letcher, Caldwell, Martin Co, Kentucky. Any names related to May's, Young, Gordon, Baldridge, Wireman, Adair,Witten,Brown, Ward, Evans, Robsinson all these names and many more are all connect. What I have gather from other George's is that they came from PA to Va, to Carolina, then to KY and the Midwest and farther South from Ga to Tx. I am hoping that a Brown will help me sort all these George's out. Most of the George's that has their familytree done, does not want to connect with any other new George's family memebers, because it is so confusing. During civil war of 1812, several of the George's stay in IN, IL and IA, but they all still connect from the same set of George's proving it, is really hard. I have worked on this for two years and finally getting someone's attention. E-mail me at and I will foward my familytree. Does you Samuel have a middle name.
