I am searching for information on the family of Isaac George. I am primarily interested in his time in Rabun Co., GA. In 1821, Isaac was elected as a Justice of the Inferior Court. He also appeared on the 1830 Census of Rabun Co., GA. His age was listed as being born between 1770 and 1780.
There were three other Georges in the 1830 census of Rabun Co., GA: James George (md. 1823 to Elizabeth Wall), Arthur George, and Jesse George. James and Arthur were born between 1800 and 1810. Jesse was born between 1790 and 1800. In addition, there was a Patsey George who married John B. Pried (Price???) in 1826 in Rabun Co., GA.
Jesse George was enumerated in the 1840 census of Rabun Co., GA, but the remaining George families appear to've either died out or moved on.
I am interested in this family because we're trying to reconstruct the 1820 census of Rabun Co., GA and believe that Isaac George may have been in Rabun Co., GA then. I don't know where Isaac was from, but there was an Isaac George living in nearby Pendleton Dist., SC in 1810.
If anyone knows anything about these families, please e-mail me at email@example.com or contact me through the following web site:
Any information will be helpful and appreciated.
