I was very interested in the posting on the Georges, especially the names. I am looking for the parents of Jesse Wesley George born in GA in 1820. It struck me as very coincidental that you mentioned certain names associated with your Georges. Jesse W. George had sons named John Carey, William Riley and David Hillier. He moved to Jasper County, TX in about 1859. I was aware of a Cary George living in Cherokee County, Texas in 1850, but thought it was just coincidental since he was born in SC and not Georgia. Maybe its more than a coincidence afterall. I do have the Confederate Pension records of a John Cary George from Cherokee Co., TX. I think he may be from your line of Georges. Let me know what you think.
