While searching for data on an ancestor I've yet to find the proof to claim, I've visited several WEB sites with records that may be your couple.

According to my sketchy notes on some Internet posts (which may or may not be verifiably correct), a Richard George (1709-1773) married Elizabeth Mao or Mayo and had sons James Mayo George b. 1728; Jonadab George, b. 1730; Robert George, b. 1726; and Henry George, b. 1734.

This Richard George is descended from Col. John George (1603-1678), who served in the Va. House of Burgesses, who was married to Jane Cole and possibly another woman after he was widowed. John's son Isaac (1635-1689) married Hester Fawden or Fawdon (1646-1697), and had sons Robert and John (b. 1676). Their son John is the father of the Richard under discussion.

The frustration is that any or all of this data may not be right, as even data I've seen conflicts -- but it will give you some names and (approximate dates) to check out. This family started out its American expansion in eastern Virginia, including Isle of Wight, Middlesex, and Caroline counties, with some members later moving to Halifax County on the NC border.
