Saw your posting in response to mine. Henry George was my grandpa and he
married Virginia Glenn. His brother C George married her sister Mamie
Glenn. They are all buried out at Shiloh Cemetary in Jessieville, ARK. They
lived in Hot Springs (Garland County). Any relationship?
Henry's father was Joe Lee George and I think his mother's name was Dorie.
My grandma Virginia, maiden name Glenn had a brother name Henry Glenn, and
two sisters, Mamie and Orie. Their father was Peter Glenn, and I think her
mother's name was Priscilla but not certain, her maiden name was Club/Clubb
and she was from Oklahoma and full blooded Choctaw/Cherokee, that not sure
yet either. My uncle says that Peter was from England and he married an
"Oklahoma Indian" and took her to Ark. My uncle thought Virginia (his mom)
was born in Mountain Valley Ark. My grandmother Virginia first married a
Kates and had one daughter Geneva Kates-Brooks, then she married William
Franklin Ellison and had another daughter Annabelle Ellison-Armond, and two
sons, Harold Woodrow Ellison and William Franklin Ellison Jr (all from HS,
Ark), then she married Henry George, and had my dad Leon George, and 4
more daughters, Gladys (don't remember her last name now), Helen
George-Hughes, Edith George (can't remember last name), and
Dimple George-Knighten. The only kids living are Gladys (in Tx), Helen, Edith,
Dimple and William (Bill) all of them in Hot Springs.
