I would be interested in sharing information on the GEORGE families of Pittsylvania County, VA. Mart Grant has an excellent home page with information on the GEORGE family, including this branch. Based on his research and some of my own, I believe that Benjamin GEORGE was a son of John GEORGE, who died in Greene County, GA, in 1790. John had a son, William, who was well documented. I believe that John and Richard may be two more sons of the elder John. Benjamin, John, and Richard were noted in Pendelton District, SC, records in the 1790s. Benjamin later moved to Lincoln County, TN, where the names John and Richard were also noted.
