My father has very little to go on regarding Katie George. She was my grandmother's youngest sister, born sometime before the death of their mother in 1905 (my grandmother was born 1894, the middle child of seven). She nver married, contracted tuberculosis sometime in her late teens, early twenties. She lived with my grandmother near Florein (sp?), La. for a time then stayed in a sanitorium in New Orleans for a while, returning back home a few years later. My dad believes she died somtime in 1948 from the tb. Hope this helps.
