Karen,

You are working on the same family. I had never heard of Franklin George, but it would seem that his full name was Richard Franklin George from the info you provided. Richard and Nancy J. Young were married 2 Sept. 1866, Kanawha Co., WV by G.W. Griffith. Richard was a widow, from his first wife, Cynthia E. Spinks, and Nancy was single, born in Rockingham Co., VA.

Richard & Cynthia (Spinks) George had 3 children: Mary A., born 1856 Kanawha Co.(W)VA; Warren Leslie, born 25 Jun 1858 George's Creek, near Malden, Kanawha Co., (W)VA and a female girl who died young. Cynthia may have died in child birth, not certain. She died 14 Sept 1865 Kanawha Co., WV.

Richard & Nancy J. (Young) George had 11 children: Phillip S., born 1868; Luvina V., born 1870; Alzaidia L., born 1872; Eselonia I., born 1873; Geneva Okney, born 1874; Charlotte T., born 1876; Cynthia L., born 1877; Nancy Jenette, born 1879; Templeton; Robert "Bob"; and Sherd.

I'd appreciate more information on your Robert George and any information on his siblings.

Concering Richard's death date, I found it at the Archives here in Charleston, but don't have a source to qoute. I'll double check myself the next time I visit there and let you know. I know that Richard and his son Warren Leslie George both died the same year 1907.

Another researcher just informed me yesterday, that Joab & Mary (Davis) had another son that I did not list. His name was James D. George, born before Richard. I have not received detailed info on him yet. When I do I'll pass it along. He's been doing some research on the Botetourt Co., Tax records that may shine some more light on Joab's parents. Should know more by end of week.

Look foward to hearing from you.
Mark
