Hi. Thanks for the follow-up. The names of your Georges (other than Jesse) and the dates are not ringing a bell with me. My records begin with W.P.A. George (?-?) married to Betsy Farer. One of their children was David William George (1837TN-1919Coleman Co., TX). He married twice--some of his children by his first marriage (we suspect her name to be Martha McIntyre) are Hattie, Mable, Pink (short for Pinkton?) and Betty. These kids should have been born in the 1860's for Betty (my g-g-grandmother that married Neil Rich) was widowed in about 1888 when the youngest of her 3 children was about 3 years old. Her youngest child, Ernest Rich, was born in Caddo Mills, Hunt co., TX. 1885/1886. One of the other kids by this first marriage, Pink, is believed to be David Pinkton George (1863TN-1937TX) who left Memphis TN about 1877 at the age of 14 with a load of hogs heading for St. Louis to sell them and then on to Texas. David Pinkton George married Mary Ellen Simpson and and they had 4 children, R. Ervin, Maud Lee (1888-1970Coleman co. TX), unknown daughter and Jesse L. (1897Hunt Co., TX-?TX). The second marriage of David William George was to Margaret Ann Moss about 1898 and there are 2 known children from this marriage: Carmel born about 1898 and Elsie Dinsmore George born 1900 Johnson Co. TX died 1989 Kerr Co., TX.

The following are buried at the Burkett Cemetery in Coleman Co., TX: David William George along with 2 unmarked graves and next to them is his son,David Pinkton George with his wife, Mary Ellen and their daughter, Maud Lee George Baker and her husband, Calvin Baker.

If you have information on this line, I'd love to hear from you and I'll be glad to share what else I have on record. Thanks.

Pauleta Hicks
