Hi Pauleta,
I don't have the George family members you mentioned in my files, but I can give you a couple of suggestions of where to search.
Both of the names David and Jesse are common in the Georges who originated in South Carolina and moved south to Georgia and west to Alabama, Mississipi, Louisiana and Texas. Tom George posts frequently in this forum and has a vast Gedcom of this family. He has a link posted for it in this forum somewhere. My Georges are probabably from the same family, but I've been unable to find a link to them yet. They also came from South Carolina etc... and the names are the same. Some common names in the family besides David and Jesse are Mahala, Caleb, Carey/Cary, and Green.
John Cary George settled in Cherokee Co., TX in the 1840s. He had many children, and I'm sure some of them left that county and moved ot other parts of Texas. This is the family Tom George has information about.
My Ggg-grandfather Jesse Wesley George, settled in Jasper Co., Tx in about 1858. His children (I've only traced some of them and haven't found the others)settled in Shelby, Robertson, Angelina, Limestone, and Harrison Counties.
Another poster in here, Peyton George also has a vast George Gedcom with ties to Texas. You might want to check out his posts as well.
I hope one of these helps you in your search.
Cheryl Campbell
