The big oak tree is still there and I too slept on those beds upstairs. There must have been a hundred children born in that old house. Your Aunt Carrie was the first born there after Claiborne built the house.

I now live in Wilmington, NC. I am a forester and employed in the export of forest products.

The building of the roads around the air force base have caused many things to change in appearance in Mentor. The railroad in front of the house is gone.

Your Aunt Carrie was my grandmother. Her first child (born in the house) was Kenneth George Clemens. I am having a great time with our families.

I have the George Family back to 1633 and the Clemens back to 1772. Much anticipation and some disappointments, but occasionally suprises, like finding you and your family.

The records in Blount Co. are incomplete about your family. If you will share your information, I'll couver you up with other parts of the family.
