I'm sure as a descendant your information is more accurate that my material; however, in the research of Will E. Parham from the early part of the 20th century, he shows Alexander O. George as having one brother and three sisters: Claiborne George who went West and was a Presbyterian preacher; Mary (Polly) W. George who married John Robinson McClure on March 11, 1825 (he later married Lucitta Goff on October 28, 1847); Charlotte who married Allie McClure whose descendants were still in Blount Co. in the 1920's; Amy Eliza who married Richard Lebow on September 1, 1836.
Parham's information show Claiborne Marcus DeLafayette, b. 1835 , d. 1916 as one of Alexander O. George's children. The others are Arminia; Charlotte; James; Addison;Elizabeth; Rebecca; and Nancy.
You seem to have a great deal of George info. Does any of this make any sense?
My family descends from Silas George who, I believe, would have been Alexander O. George's uncle (Edward George). Do you have any information on Silas George's wife and children?
I have have a few more details on the children listed above as belonging to Alexander O. George if you would like it.
Thanks for any insights you can give me.
