The Manuel George I'm looking for had lived in Pleasanton, CA. He married Maria de Gloria but she also went by Maria Ferreira, the Ferreira family later changed their name to Smith. Manuel had two daughters. The oldest was Maria George b.1872 in Pleasanton, and Mariam b. abt. 1880. His wife passed away while giving birth. He later moved back to Pico when his youngest daughter turned 18. He remaired and I believe had two more daughters. Before he left California, he had a large ranch on Mt.Hamilton, in San Jose. He left the ranch to his oldest daughter when he left for the Azores.
